What problems do we make evident?

– 1. In Loreto, Peru, MEB’s current area of influence lies within the Peruvian Amazon region. Child malnutrition currently affects 21.8% of the population, making Loreto the second department in Peru with the highest rates of malnutrition. This statistic is particularly alarming given the escalating number of affected individuals due to the impact of droughts attributed to the “El Niño” phenomenon.

What do we want to do?

– 1. We are establishing a community kitchen in San Miguel de Cacao, Loreto, Peru.
– 2. Our plan aims to provide nutritious meals for children between 0 and 12 years old.
– 3. Our initiative aims to combat malnutrition, which severely compromises the immune system and increases susceptibility to serious illnesses like pneumonia, malaria, diarrhea, and measles. By ensuring regular access to wholesome meals, we strive to strengthen the health and well-being of these vulnerable children.
